TS419P II Problems after RAID

Postby alex_da_gr8est » Fri Jul 06, 2012 5:09 pm

Hi Guys,

I initially bought my NAS with 1x 2TB Seagate barracuda HDD put it in bay one, worked like a charm. (3 bays empty)
but it was lacking something... RAID
I then bought 2x 2TB seagate barracuda's (same model as the first) and moved the unraided drive that I put in initially into the 3rd bay. Placing the new drives that I recently bought into the 1st and 2nd bay. I have now RAID 1'd the 1st and 2nd drive.

so it looks like this:
bay 1/2 = raid
bay 3 = old drive with data on it

I use my drives mainly as network drives and for UPNP/ torrenting. So the original shares that were setup work well.

But the Bay 3 drive is not showing up when i browse by share name - in this case \\192.168.122.20\
the folders that were initially setup are there ie public, multimedia, network recycling bin etc. they are all empty (I am assuming because they are showing files from the RAID1 mirror - there are none yet, except some in downloads)

basically I am trying to figure out how to get the files from bay 3 to show up in the network shares. I have looked on the web file manager and on the administration web page, the administration web page shows that the drive is there in file format EXT4 with 300GB/2TB free space. Ideas how to get the NAS to recognise the files on it for the shares? SSH is enabled and I have no problems accessing it via the command line, but I would prefer to know if there is a GUI tool I have missed.

Thankyou for your help in advance

Hope this helps...
