Web File Manager Freezes When Uploading??

Hi all.

I'm trying to copy some files from my laptop onto the QNAP. Done a few files earlier and all worked fine, but now my browser (Google Chrome) keeps freezing?
I go into 'Web File Manager' and then click on the 'Upload' icon. Another pop up window opens but but it stays blank and nothing happens. It then locks up and even 'Kill all pages' doesn't do anything?

Started working again this evening. My Java was out of date, so will see how it goes now it's updated - Thanks.

While I'm here and rather than start a new topic (Can't find anything on the search) and it's kind of related - How do I upload a whole folder?
I've a music album on my laptop which I want to upload to the NAS, can I not send it via 'Upload'?
Whilst in Web File Manager, I click on 'Upload' and 'Browse' but then it won't allow me to upload a whole folder (a music album), so I then have to upload all files individually? Probably a complete noob question but can't see nothing in the user guide that shows how to do it with folders?

Think this QNAP is a bit too advanced for me and maybe I should have gone with something easier like a My Book Live

For regular file management (including media upload), I would trongly sugget using Microsoft File Sharing, or alternate AFP for OS X users.

The Web File Manager is more for remote access than for usage on the LAN.
