TS-870 Pro SSD Volume cache Error

Post by robbied »

Hello,

i have followed all the steps in order to setup SSD caching on my NAS. Drive (Samsung Evo 500GB) - NAS sees drive and i can enable SSD Caching when select the "Cache Acceleration" as per attachment one. I then proceed to the volumes tab and i click on "Actions" -> "cache Setting". i can select SSD Caching but then i get the following error message.

A: What does this mean
B: How do i resolve this?
C: will i need to remove the Volume and re-create it?
D: Is there a command i can run to solve this without loosing all my data?

Thanks for the help...

Are you following QNAP Tutorial: QNAP Turbo NAS with SSD Cache?

(I have no experience with SDD Cache personally, I simply want to ensure that you are aware of this document).

I assume this is not a legacy volume, e.g created before storage pools.
Can you replicate issue by deleting cache and recreating problem?

I would contact Qnap support for advice then.

Hm, that's the creation of the cache. Here what I expect to see:
