So I shared a folder of pictures via an email link. I go to the email and click on the link to access it and when I do it from Chrome, I get the MyQNAPCloud frame with a blue spinning circle for a few seconds and then I see the folder (as it should be). But when I do the same thing from Safari (on my iOS device) or IE11, I get the frame again and the spinning blue circle but then nothing happens and it keeps spinning...forever.
Do we know of any incompatibilities with the sharing link feature in IE or Safari? I want to use this to share photos with family members and I can't guarantee everyone will have Chrome. Should work with any modern browser!
Thoughts?

While I would not consider IE11 modern, much more legacy overloaded ... QNAP Share Links work for me on IE11 (have to force open IE11 here on Windows 10).
A brief test on an iOS 9.1 iPhone 5S proofs the Share Link can be opened, the share link page is shown:

Re: Accessing Shared Folder with link with Internet Explorer
I have a similar problem but with sharing links via Qfile on android, e.g. http://[myqnapnasname].myqnapcloud.com:8080/share.cgi?ssid=0xG.... (name changed due to sec. reason) will work sporadically (more often not working) and links taken from myQNAPcloud site e.g. http://www.myqnapcloud.com/smartshare/6 ... o61n822vvs.............. (both links pointing to the same folder btw.) will work better. Any idea why the Qfile app share generate a different link name and why it is working so flimsy?

The first does establish a direct connection to your router public IPv4 address and the port forwarded to the NAS - while the second one does use a cloud link technology not requiring forwarded ports, however the traffic does flow over QNAP's cloud infrastructure.bartelsv wrote:I have a similar problem but with sharing links via Qfile on android, e.g. http://[myqnapnasname].myqnapcloud.com:8080/share.cgi?ssid=0xG.... I would expect that the direct connection does work reliably ... unless your ISP does very often change the public IPv4 address assigned, or the like.
