virtualization station and native USB ports
we consider a QNAP which is capable of virtualization. one requirement would be, that the USB ports (3.0 preferred) are natively abailable inside the VM, so that we can clone attached disks with acronis.
any experience here?

Same issues here. Can't get USB 3 WIFI(Netis WF2190) to work in Qnap VS latest version(Nov 15th version). Works fine in qnap network setting but not in VM. VM USB tab doesn't see it(had no luck with any USB even USB stick in this tab)... Does this even work? Have Qnap said anything on this?

Re: virtualization station and native USB ports
I've had USB sticks and USB WiFi passed through OK but then my cpu is VTd/VTx capable (Xeon E3-1265LV2).
If the TS-453 has this CPU http://ark.intel.com/products/78867/Int ... o-2_42-GHz
Then it doesn't support Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d) which I think is needed for hardware passthrough

Re: virtualization station and native USB ports
With the latest update to the qnap VS from last week, I can now see the USB wifi stick now but I'm still having problems setting it up in window 8.1 VM, where I can't connect to anything with it. I tried it with win 10 VM and I can only get it to connect to 2.4GHZ network but not the 5GHZ ac network(in QNAP network tab it connect fine to 5GHZ)... So, I too think this is a Qnap VS issue.
