i noticed a new qpkg php

PHP 5.5.21 (22 Jan 2015)

it's about 7 versions behind from the latest v5.6.7
http://php.net/ChangeLog-5.php#5.5.21

I'm feeling much better about a newer php, but hopefully there is a mechanism in place for the user to be able to get the updates sooner when php is updated.

Saw today that PHP QPKG was updated to 5.5.21.

But it still has the issue that the mysqlnd module is present but not being used by the mysql and mysqli modules

phpinfo shows
Client API version: 5.1.36
Client API library version: 5.1.36
Client API header version: 5.1.36
Instead of "5.1.36" it should show something like: "mysqlnd 5.0.11-dev - 20120503 - $Id: bf9ad53b11c9a57efdb1057292d73b928b8c5c77 $"

Hello,

I have installed PHP QPK 5.5.21 on my TS-210 FW 4.3.1(0313).
Now the dynamic creation of JPEG images seems not to work anymore.
With integrated PHP 5.3.29 the following code runs fine:

Code: Select all

$im = ImageCreateTrueColor(800, 600);
header("Content-Type: image/jpeg");
Imagejpeg($im,'',100);
ImageDestroy($im);
Is this a bug?
Dynamic creation of PNGs works fine!

Tschau

For the second parameter of Imagejpeg you should use NULL, not '' (See http://php.net/manual/en/function.imagejpeg.php).

Don't know if that fixes the issue though

Hello Soul--Reaver,

many thanks for this hint!
With "NULL" the script and new PHP version works again.

Guys excellent job!
Can you compile it with:
- memcached
- geoip
(missing):
- imagemagick - it's very important
?

Also would be nice if you could compile HHVM expermimentally. Huge speed up with proper config...

Hi there.
I just broke my Zarafa installation! ))) You know... I am try to fix one problem and I create 5 others! sigh!

I had the stock version of php (5.3.4 i think on QNAP TS509 Pro) and I was trying to get z-push-top.php to run in cli.
It needed php pcntl to run and it was complaining.
"InterProcessData::InitSharedMem(): PHP libraries for the use shared memory are not available."
So I checked php -m | grep -i pcntl and it was there!
So I checked further and found out that it is compiled with limitations on purpose.
I proceeded to check if I can get my hands on the module from another source and thought to check optware but there were older versions there. So I checked the app center and sure enough I found 5.5.22 version which I installed immediately.

And immediately Zarafa reported FatalMisconfigurationException-PHP-MAPI extension is not available.
This page has more info http://wiki.qnap.com/wiki/Zarafa_Installation_On_QNAP and states that "To compile the Zarafa PHP-MAPI extension module, the PHP headers matching with the installed PHP version are needed. Determine the installed version and configuration options of the bundled PHP as follows", so I guess this is why it does not work.

Is it possible for you to include it?
And also, why pcntl is not recognized by z-push-top.php - can this be fixed to include ?

Thanks
PS. I will try to uninstall now and hope that everything goes back to normal. Fingers crossed.

Thank God I did not have to uninstall. I just switched it off and all is OK now.

Please though answer these questions.
1. Is it possible for you to include it mapi.so in the new version?
2. Is it possible for you to include a normal verison of pcntl?
