Is it possilble to upgrade the mysql on the TS-809 to later versions? If so, which distribution can I d/l and install? Is it as simple as downloading the x86 version and untaring?
Thanks!

Re: Newer MySQL Version
Nope, not possible, the IPKG version is also older than the one in firmware if I remember correctly.
Best regards

Re: Newer MySQL Version
That's a shame... version that comes with it is still old compared to what's out there....
QNAP - any chance of getting newer version? Considering the 809 is running on intel core 2 duo, shouldn't be hard to compile latest to x86 on qnap should it?

Re: Newer MySQL Version
If you need the newer version, look at the Modderz section on how to set up a compiling system, then you can compile it yourself.
I'm sure a lot of other users would appreciate it

Re: Newer MySQL Version
Tried just that.... Getting an error when compiling .. anyone with ideas?
config.status: creating libmysql/libmysql.ver
awk: ./confIRCnNi/subs.awk:2: Unexpected token
config.status: error: could not create libmysql/libmysql.ver
seems like awk doesn't like the format from config or something.. tried installing gawk also.. no luck...
