A few days ago I upgraded my QNAP TS-110 to the new 3.7.1 firmware, and about since the same my custom apache logs stopped beeing written
I then looked at the config file
or through symbolic links also accessible through:
And I found that my modifications where gone. So I thought well yep, could have thought of that that when you upgrade the system, that this might happen.
So I redid my modifications, and tried to restart apache by calling
/usr/local/apache/bin/apache -k restart
but this killed my apache processes but did not start them again. Logfiles where still empty, so no info on what might have failed
so next I tried both those two
/sbin/daemon_mgr apache start "/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start"
but this had the same result --> no running apache server
this one finally worked to get me a running apache server again, but this clears all modifications to the apache.conf file...
So is this really caused by the new firmware update, or was it something else with which I messed up my system?
Please advice on how to get back a logrotation of the access-logs
