HTTP Commander for MS IIS web server - equivalent for QNAP?

Post by mrw_y2k »

Hi,

Im looking for a method to grant access to the contents of a shared folder via web page. I can do this by using 8080 / Web File Manager but don't want to give online access to the admin page.

I've seen an application, HTTP Commander, that is perfect but only runs on MS IIS web servers. Does anyone know of an equivalent app with similar functionality I can run on my TS-209?

HTTP Commander is here: http://www.http-com.com/NetDemo60/

Go for eXtplorer. Originally developed to maintain Mamo/Joomla Web sites on hosting servers, but an excellent standlone product, also for the QNAP NAS. It wil run on the standard Web server on port 80. FMI: http://extplorer.sourceforge.net/

You might find some more references, tips and tricks searching the forum here for eXtplorer.

Enjoy,

-Kurt.

I would go for the Xtplorer since it is easyer to setup and does not need a database to run like the phpFilenavigator.
