Thank you Philippe! Basically it is a chrome standalone full screen shortcut on HD station desktop, right? This is exactly what I was thinking of, and thanks a lot to make it possible!!!

Now I have just to figure out how to enable a Vpn just on this website :-)

So, basically you could do the same for Hulu, or any other similar website... cool!

EDIT: I am just thinking that it would be even better to have an official Qnap-Netflix app, so that surfing, pause etc... would be even better... but I don't know if Qnap and Netflix will ever work on that...

Philippe, as qremote is not perfect with Netflix, do you think it will be feasible to install unifiedremote server on HD station, so that we could use it for Netflix?https://www.unifiedremote.com/tutorials ... -on-ubuntu

Hi Philippe,

I have found the following Chrome extension which could help surfing on Netflix on Chrome w/ HD Station (I have tested yesterday Qremote but it is painful!): https://github.com/nikwhite/netflix-controller

The problem is that it runs on Google Chrome v. 40+ and on HD Station we have only v. 39.0.21713

Morever, I don't know which smarphone remote controller to use. Any idea is welcome (even if the main problem remains Google Chrome)....

ps: FYI I almost solved the VPN problem with Hola.org. Just a temporary and probably dirty solution, but it seems working without having to set a VPN on my router and configure it for a specific domain only. :)

EDIT: In relation to Hola, after having tested the very good and professional Astrill, I decided at the end to go for the use of a Smart DNS service which better fit my very easy needs. In the specific case, I went through UnoTelly

Hi Philippe,

It would be possible to install Unified Remote server on HD Station? This may probably increase usability (meaning movie browsing) on Netflix...

Moreover, additional question: I have noticed that, if I install some Chrome extensions (like NEnhancer), such extension does not loads on your app. Do you think would it be possible to also include extensions?

Hi Philippe,

I have already opened a feature request to QNAP for a more updated Google Chrome and I agree with you that it is useless (unless QNAP decides to dramatically delay this update) to update Google Chrome with a community version.

However my questions were different:

1. would you be able to create a QPKG of Unified Remote server for HD Station? This would probably, but I am not entirely sure, increase Netflix over Google Chrome usability.

2. as far as you know, is it possible to add the use of certain Google Chrome extensions to the Netflix launcher you have created?

Thanks a lot and... enjoy your time off!

Philippe, I have read in another topic that a new Netflix version was coming. Were you referring to this package or to another one? :-)

If it works like qremote (the arrows section), I don't think so, but as I don't have it, I leave others to confirm.

Hi Philippe, I would do the same for SkyOnLine (http://www.skyonline.it/). Would you address me on some webpage to learn how to do it ? Thanks in advance, Gianluca

Hi Philippe and thanks for your kind answer.
Possibly I was not clear enough. SkyOnLine should work under same requirements as Netflix.
So I would "simply" need to put a placeholder on the HD_Station that opens Chrome on http://www.skyonline.it homepage.
I understand from your answer I need to create the structure for QTV and package as a QPKG. Any more suggestion on how to do this ?
Sorry to bother you again. Please neglect this request if too silly or complicate.

Thanks in advance,
Gianluca

That would be great Philippe. Today I received my ticket for skyonline and I tried to use Chrome directly from the HD_Station 3.1. With my surprise I discovered that skyonline requires silverlight libraries (or mono/qmono in our case I believe). I tried to download and install mono from Chrome itself but I had no success.

Did you need these mono libraries for Netflix ?
This evening I will check if Firefox in the HD_Station 3.1 supports mono.

Thanks and Regards,
Gianluca

Thanks Philippe. It seems to much for me. I think I will try with QvPC in the Virtualization Station, loading a Windows image with Firefox and using HDMI display :-)

Best Regards,
