S3 Plus vs the Built in App

Why is it that the S3 Plus seems to work better then the Backup option for S3 built into the QNAP software?

I first tried the built in stuff and seems almost no data was going up to S3, now I installed S3 Plus and the thing is maxing out my VDSL line (which is great). Finally seems I might get a cloud backup working!

Why doesn't QNAP just dump and implement S3 Plus?

Hi! Thank you for choosing S3plus as your cloud backup solution. S3Plus is a complete rewrite and it does not cover all features that the built-in S3 backup provides, although S3Plus offers something else and uses the AWS SDK to access S3 for better compatibility.

We are working on new features for S3Plus, and when it can allow users to migrate from the Backup Station S3, the built-in one will be S3Plus.
