Python and QCenter Agent

Post by Almer »

After some period of time we see for all QNAPs which were added to QCenter has python high CPU usage.
If we disable agent - CPU usage back to normal. All 15 QNAP are on the same firmware - 4.1.3 Build 20150408
Agent version: 1.0.298.
From here it looks like not optimized app.

Thanks you, I am PM Ripple who responsible for Q'center,
the Q'center agent is designed to run under minimum resource requirement, usually less than 1% CPU is needed for the agent.

If it is possible, you can open a ticket for us at https://helpdesk.qnap.com so that our support team can contact you and allow us to track this issue formally.
Or, please shared more detail information such as the Models, Q'center server and Python version you are using with us so that we can reproduce this issue for inspecting.

Thanks for your feedback!
regards

Same issue here.
Running QCenter Agent v1.1.24 on TS-651 leads to high CPU usage of python process.

The QCenter instance, that is communicating with the Agent is v1.1.35 on TS-559 Pro+.
On this device (559 Pro+) the Agent runs fine, with only sporadic 10%+ CPU load peaks.

Both are running firmware QTS 4.2.0 (20150819).

Regards,

TS 409 Pro - decommissioned
TS 559 Pro+ - degraded to an iSCSI target, disabled all services
TS 651 + UX 800P 3xRAID5 (as Storage Pool 1), actually RAID50 + 1 Single Drive (test VMs/temp data, QTS apps)
