Re: Usergroups
I'm gone from this forum till QNAP stop wasting volunteers' time. Get help from QNAP helpdesk instead.
Warning: offensive signature and materials damaging QNAP reputation follow:
QNAP's FW security issues
QNAP's hardware compatibility list madness
QNAP's new logo competition
Dear QNAP, kindly fire your clueless incompetent forum "admin" And while at it, don't forget the webmaster!

Re: Usergroups
No clue what you are talking of here. You are allowed to name me "noone" - because shared folder access control by usergroups work for me like a charm.

Re: Usergroups
It's a question regarding the forum here. Not a QNAP NAS question.
In "user control panel" -> usergroups you can apply for membership to closed usergroups. Who administrates those groups?

Re: Usergroups
No forum usergroups to join. Why? Nobody is really managing the forum...

Re: Usergroups
I've no clue what the effective purpose is - same for QA (AFAIK it's for QNAP QA...). Beta firmware will become available in the firmware [Beta] tagged subfora anyway.
