browser login problems

Post by conni05 »

Dear all,
I have a QNAP system at work (University) to store our data. We have newly installed the system with new hard drives.

Model name TS239
Firmware version and Build Number 4.2.0 (20160311)
Operation System (OS) Windows 7 enterprise
OS Language Swedish
Number of HDDs 2
HDD model WDC WD30EFRX-68EUZN082.0
HDD capacity 2TB
RAID configuration Could not find it
Services enabled, e.g. Download Station, DDNS, FTP, NFS NO
External devices, e.g. USB printer, e-SATA drive NO
NAS connection speed/ MTU (found in Network Settings>TCP/IP page) Could not find it

When I try to login via browser, the login page opens, but I cannot see some of the text on the menu on the left side (welcome and so forth...). When I click login the window opens and I can type in my details, but when I click on login / start nothing happens.

I do the same at a different computer it works just fine. The difference is that I there see all the details in the menu of the browser page before the login.

Additionally on my computer the system tell me "cannot get access to server" although I see the icon and QNAP Qfinder Pro identifies the server and connects me to the browser homepage.

Any help would be highliy appreciated.

Kind regards

Maybe as additional info: I installed chrome and internet explorer to circumvent the problem, but it is the same in all theses browsers on my computer.

With the issue specific to one (or some PC) and different browsers, check for any kind of "Internet Security" or malware s**t installed destroying complex JavaScripot.
