TS410 Drops out on Mac OSX

We have a Qnap TS410 hooked up to the network.
The windows PCs seems stable. The Macs however keeps dropping out after a few minutes.
This happens both on afp and smb.

The firmware is the latest, and we have tried to change the network cable on the mac.
However there are more than one mac with the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Having the same problem - I'll get about 5 minutes of connectivity then NAS appears to drop off the network as far as my Mac is concerned. Latest version of the firmware installed on TS-410 an running latest version of Mac OS X (10.7.4). Any suggestions as this is really frustrating! LOL

Okay, looks like I've solved my problem - standard case of user error I'm afraid. Apparently having the TS-410 set to use the same IP as another device on the network causes problems... Who knew?

Does anyone have any insight as to what can be the cause of this?

I have tried to manually set the network speed on the adapter to both 1000 and 100 just to check if that made a difference.
It did not and has been set back to automatic.
