Inconsistency in product details?

Postby MR_AWESOME55 » Tue Apr 17, 2012 2:49 pm

I recently decided to purchase a TS-219p II as a backup and media server and noticed what seems to be some inconsistencies in two documents.

This PDF File (http://www.qnap.com/image/product/pdf/Home_SOHO_NAS_datasheet_EN.pdf) states that the TS-219p II can support 4xSATA(III) and has 2 USB 3.0 ports accompanied by a USB 2.0 port.

This web page (http://www.qnap.com/images/products/comparison/Comparison_2BayNAS.html) states doesn't state the number of drives supported, but it says that there are only 3 USB 2.0 ports.

Which document needs to be changed, and if they are both correct, what are the differences in these products?

Thanks

Hello,
The PDF file (1st one) has error. TS-219P II should only have 2 internal HDDs supported.
The latest TS-x19P II are now shipping with 2x USB3.0 ports, while keeping the same model name.
Thanks for your feedback and we will update the PDF soon to reflect the correct number of internal HDDs..

Interesting, I didn't know that more recent versions had USB 3.0. Would you happen to know if the TS-219PII-US they are selling over at Amazon.com is the new version or the old one, or should I contact Amazon directly?

Here's the link:

I just bought a TS-219P II from a store in Sydney. They had to order it in for me and when it arrived the diagram on the outside of the box says "USB 3.0x2" when listing the ports on the back of the machine. What a score - I though I was buying a machine with only USB 2.0. Very happy about that!
I now just hope the hardware inside actually does have USB 3.0. Is there anyway I can check this easily? (I am no computer guru).

Serial number and MAC in the Box and the device were matching?

What gives you confidence ist really just USB 2.0?

When it was marked having USB 3.0 you should have the right to have or get such a unit IMHO. Please provide Serial and MAC so QNAP can check?

I recently bought a QNAP TS-219 II from Amazon.com and it has 2 USB 3.0 ports at the back and 1 USB 2.0 port at the front.
