Cannot connect to App Centre

Post by elektro »

As of yesterday, when I click on 'All Apps' in the App Centre it states 'NAS could not retrieve App information list. Please check your network settings'

Nothing has changed, that I can recall, other than plugging in and unplugging external drives ot the USB ports..

Am connected via ethernet port, IP address 192.168.0.17, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.0.1, obtain DNS automatically.

I can connect via myQNAP cloud and don't seem to have any other issues.

Have tried to search for this issue but can't find any solutions.

Thanks.

No they don't. This is not a QNAP Support channel. IF you want to read the QNAP Helpdesk, simply submit a ticket.

If you want assistance from the QNAP Community, you are in the right place.

You issue might be the same, but you are providing no information for us.

Questions:
  1. What Firmware Version/Build numbers are you using?
  2. What language is your Firmware in? English?
  3. Please access your NAS via SSH, login as "admin", and run:

    Code: Select all

    cat /etc/resolv.conf
    nslookup update.qnap.com
    #done
Please cut&paste the output of these commands back to this message thread.

I have the same issue.
[~] # nslookup update.qnap.com
Server: dlinkrouter
Address: 192.168.0.1

Name: a1903.w19.akamai.net
Addresses: 93.179.210.170, 93.179.210.168

But still message "nas could not retrieve app information list"... Any recommendation? All appeared not much time ago.

Potentially a temporary/volatile issue in the Akamai delivery network? Works here, some NAS tested get these IPs:

[~] # nslookup update.qnap.com
Server: (snip)
Address: (snip)

Name: a1903.w19.akamai.net
Addresses: 193.247.90.43, 193.247.90.50

nslookup works for me too, i have the ip, but still I cannot load the page with apps. In the same time Plex got inaccessible from outside, but it can be a coincidence too.
