How to Capture the Log Generated by ps for QNAP's Analysis

Postby JDH » Mon Jan 07, 2008 7:27 pm

Hi Rei,
The spin down is perfect every time when I reset (power off/on) my TS-209 Pro. Nevertheless, it wakes up during the morning (same as I :-)). I haven't copied new photos on it (so should not be caused by the generation of the thumbnails). I would like to pass the log for QNAP engineer's analysis but don't know how to capture the log. I can use telnet and ps in command mode. Please help.

Don't know if I get you wrong, but to save the output of ps to a file issue the command as follows:

Code: Select all
ps -A > /share/Public/ps.txt

with this the output will be in ps.txt in the Public-directory of the qnap
