[HELP] StandBy only with 2 of 3 notebooks, TS-209 PRO

Postby Ceiling » Sun Feb 10, 2008 7:11 am

Hi!

I have 3 Notebooks working with my great TS-209 PRO. When I work with my Sony (Vista) or Siemens (XP) notebook, the TS-209 PRO goes down in StandBy after a while when I don´t access it.
But my 3rd notebook Medion (XP) seems to avoid te StandyBy of the TS-209 PRO. The box consumes 31 Watt constantly. After switching off the Medion the comsumption goes down to 15 Wattts and the box s in StandBy-Mode.

What (Windows-XP-Feature) could it be what the QNAP avoid to go to StandBy-Mode? The both XP-Notebook are configured nearly identically with similar enviroment.

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Did you install QNAP Finder or QGet on any of your notebooks?

Hi!

Yes, QFinder is installed on one Notebook. This Notebook has no problem and let go the TS-209 to standby.

But it seems to be a problem with some background services of Cyberlink's PowerDVD. These three services seemed to scan the NAS to locate new (music) files all the time. After deactivating the services the NAS went to Standby-Mode after five minutes while all notebooks are running.

Thanks for your help!
