Hi manfredell,

Thanks for your information. Technically, no problem (currently most of RAID capacity is larger than 2TB), but we have to get a physical sample to ensure the function and compatibility, once been tested, we'll list the drive on offical web page.

I understand that physical disks couldn't be extended beyond 2.1TB because it the LBA (logical block addressing) limitation on 32bit machines. 48bit-LBA solves this issue, but in order to do this you need a 64bit operating system.

3TB drives are good news! It means prices will eventually get pushed down on 2TB drives. That makes me happy as I am trying to hold off on buying enterprise drives for my NAS.

Well I sure hope that these will work in my QNAP when they come out. It would push the capacity limit to 15 TB and 24 TB on your 8 bay version's :P
