Video file size

Postby randytgnh » Thu Oct 14, 2010 4:54 am

I have just finished setting up my TS-419P and have started to upload files. Is there a way to increase the video file size limit beyond the 2Gb that is says is the max when you try to upload a larger file?

Which file system do you use? My ext4 can support the file with tens of GB. ext2 and fat32 is limited

Suspect you tried to upload files using a Web application, like QNAP's Web File Manager, AjaxPlorer, or similar. Please use Microsoft File Share (SAMBA), AFP, ftp, nfs, ... to upload the files - much easier anyway.

But even if your use samba to get the file upload done, you still can't see it on media station browser or iphone's Qmobile apps. I hope the update version can't solve this.
