TS-259Pro+ Failover Cluster (Cluster Shared Volumes)

Postby luk83 » Tue May 31, 2011 1:25 am

Hi all,

my environment:

3 x Dell PowerEdge R710 Servers (Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Data Center 64Bit) with a QNAP TS-259 Pro+ NAS running on a GBIT Network.
On the Servers is a iSCSI LUN mapped with the iSCSI initiator.
The Network is splitted with VLAN for Heartbeat, Cluster Shared Volumes and Live Migration.

I have a VM running von Server A and when I try to move the VM (Live Migration) to Server B then I got this Error:

Log Name: System
Source: Microsoft-Windows-FailoverClustering
Event ID: 5120
Task Category: Cluster Shared Volume
Level: Error
Description: Cluster Shared Volume ‘Volume1′ (’Cluster Disk 1′) is no longer available on this node because of ‘STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_PATH(c00000be)’. All I/O will temporarily be queued until a path to the volume is reestablished.

I've already checked the Server NICs if the Client for Microsoft and File and Printersharing is active. I don't know, what I can do, to get a working Live Migration environment on the Failover Cluster.

Sorry for my bad english!

I hope you can help me!

Thank you,
Lukas

Dear Lukas,

We indeed fixed a bug regarding fail-over cluster.
Please update to firmware 3.4.3 build 0520, your problem should be solve (if it is the same issue).

Please, let me know if it is better with the latest firmware.

Hi luk83,

I think it is a windows issue... or configuration issue...
But i have not enough details to be sure.

Would it be possible to connect remotely?
I will send you details by PM.

Jauss
