fstab nfs mounts

Postby cwander » Thu Nov 17, 2011 6:59 am

Hi I'm trying to add a nfs mount on my qnap. I'm mounting the drives off my dlink323 to my qnap nas so i can backup up from one location. It seem to work fine if I type in the commands line and my backups work fine. I needed to automate it, but when i put it in the fstab and reboot the commands disappear. Am I doing something wrong? need some help thanks.

Everything in /etc resides in a ramdisk and is regenerated at each boot. You need a different approach. Why not add the mount to your backup script?

Been there, done that
