help--how do i change back from jbod to single disk

Hello all..
i set up my qnap ts-412 4 bay yesterday.. at first i installed 2x2tb hdds and configured it out of the box
and i set up the two drives as jbod. today i added another 2x2gb to slots 3/4 and
now i wanted to setup a raid5 for all 4 disks.. im in disk management and i notice disk 1+2 are stuck as one how do i split them back up into single disk drives so i can do a set up for 4 disk raid 5.. thank you

As long as you don't have data on the disk you want to keep you can do the following. Power the NAS down. Pull the drives. Power it back up and re-init the system.

that worked. thank you. now im having problems w/ the microsoft networking function, i put in the correct workgroup for windows 7 and the file service for microsoft networking isnt showing up in the network list still.

Sorry, windows 7 works fine here. Never had a problem. Could be any number of things. There are a few threads on this already, search the forum for them.

fixed that.. haha seems like every time i fix something another problem appears, now i have microsoft networking working... now im having problems with SLOW ** transfer rates... how many MB/sec should files be transferring from the PC hard drive to the NAS hard drive.. im getting 3-4 Mb/S I think im supposed to get like 100+ mb/s ?? im ready to throw this nas aganist a brick wall :P

Check your connection has not dropped back to 100Mbit instead of 1Gbit. You should expect to get 35-40MB/sec streaming large files (** on your network infrastructure). Don't experiment with dual LAN connections or Jumbo Frames until it's working nominally.
