Reset Password Multimedia Station MSV2 TS-x09 models (TS-109 TS-209 TS-409)
Just remove the file install.lock from the folder /share/Qmultimedia/.@__thumb and then restart your web session to
http://<nas>/MSV2/ where you will get a screen where a new password is requested for the admin id.
Afraid, you need to login to the NAS Linux shell (ie. by ssh - ensure the service is enabled) with the admin account, ie. using PuTTY (Windows) or from the OS X Terminal using # ssh admin@[NAS-IP-address] and run this command:
- Code: Select all
rm /share/Qmultimedia/.@__thumb/install.lock
Then you will be challenged to change the MultimediaStation2-dedicated admin password on the first connection:
Welcome
Welcome to Multimedia Station v2. Please enter the new password for the "admin" account and select the option "Keep existing user accounts" to reserve the user accounts and the access right settings of the previous version of Multimedia Station.
Note that the user accounts (including "admin") of Multimedia Station are different from the system user accounts. For security concern, it is suggested to set a different password for "admin".
