problem on ss839 after firmware update, can't log in

Postby mowen » Sat Jul 21, 2012 2:46 pm

Hello,
I encountered this issue after upgrading my ss839 to firmware 3.6.1.0302T
I completed the online procedure from admin panel and restarted the system, after the restart the folder sharing works, surveillance works,
I can log in to the system with my admin account via ssh, via ftp, all woks as before but..
I can't log in any more from admin panel to my system, both from here
https://10.0.0.237/cgi-bin/html/login_2 ... 6.1.0302T#
and here
https://10.0.0.237/cgi-bin/html/login.html?3.6.1.0302T
The system says my user/pass are not correct, but I know they are, infact via ssh and ftp account works.
Of course I tried with differnet browser, empty cache, differnet computers, but no way to log in,
Any help?
Thank You

I have the same problem with the 3.7.2 firmware.
Is there already a solution for this problem?

Start with emptying the browser cache as suggested by the release notes...

Schumaku,
Thanks for Your tip but it seems it is not a browser cache problem,
As I try to log in with the firebug error console enabled I notice in both in the 'flow mode' and in the 'standardmode' log in:
https://nasbd29c8/cgi-bin/html/login.html?3.6.1.0302T#
https://nasbd29c8/cgi-bin/html/login_2. ... 6.1.0302T#

ReferenceError: QNAP_PS_STR01 is not defined
oImgPhotos.alt = QNAP_PS_STR01;
login.....0302T# (row 609)
As I load the page and..

ReferenceError: HDAROOT_FULL is not defined
if(HDAROOT_FULL == '1')
login.....0302T# (row 533)
As I try to log in,

I think is a problem in the scripting of that page for the login function,
any help?
Thank You

when looking at your NAS hostname, and the error messages - this looks more like a configuration loss...

what does a configuration loss mean?

I still can access my data but does this mean i have to reset my nas? and in that case do i loose my data?
I hope that isn't the case or i can kiss my vacation goodbye :|

Anny help is appreciated.

Hello Schumaku,
That hostname,
https://nasbd29c8/..
and the direct ip
https://10.0.0.237/..
Always worked fine until the firmware update, moreover I can access the server both via ftp and ssh as admin with my own passord,
So.. any help on the fix of this isuue?
The configuration for the web panel access is separate from the OS of the nas?
Thanks in advance, for Your help.

Hello Everybody,
The problem was fixed with a firmware update with the qnap finder to version SS-839Pro TurboNAS 3.7.2 Build0719,
done with the downloaded img not with the automatic update search and downolad,
Thank You
