I configure my MyCloudNas with the wizard.
I can Login on the www.mycloudnas.com with my username and pass but I can't login to my Webfile manager via MycloudNas.
What can I do about that?
Thx

Does the URL for Web File Manager show up?
What happens when you attempt to login? Password error?
Does anything useful show up in the System Event Log?
Can you login to Web File Manager locally?
Can you login to Web File Manager @ http://yournas.mycloudnas.com:8080/cgi-bin/filemanager/?

Re: Mycloudnas Problem
The (optional) www.mycloudnas.com "login" by User Name and MyCloudNAS Access Code is just to protect the view of the services published on your nas, it is not related to the login used for the effective services when connecting to the NAS.

Re: Mycloudnas Problem
Hi,
I'm sorry to hijack this post but i have a similar problem. On mycloudnas, i can access the multimedia station but not the web administration. Locally, i can access anything i want but externally, not so much. i also have an issue with the q iphone apps accessing my nas externally as well, i'm guessing the issue is linked.
I've had a look at my router settings and made sure the ports are open and have been forwarded but i just can't find the one little setting.
Can any one spot Wally?
Garry

Re: Mycloudnas Problem
Multimedia Station (with Qmobile) is operating on the NAS Web server ports (default 80/TCP for, and http 8081/TCP for https), while the NAS Web administration, Web File Manager and ie. the Qmanager make use of the NAD admin ports (default 8080/TCP for http, and 443/TCP for https).Gazza wrote:I've had a look at my router settings and made sure the ports are open and have been forwarded but i just can't find the one little setting.
Most common cause are pots reserved or blocked by some CPE (routers), or by ISPs.

???
Check your NAS Web UI for the ports configured in the Geneal Settings resp. the Web Server settings.

Re: Mycloudnas Problem
Sorry, i should have been more specific, any way of checking if an isp is blocking said ports or if its my router (although, that being said i did check my router and i did open up those ports)schumaku wrote:???

** Update** Ok, so i changed the external port on my router to 1212 instead of 8080 and yay it works (guess the isp was blocking that port), now the next question is how can i change the mycloudnas web administration link to use 1212 instead of 8080?

Re: Mycloudnas Problem
Somewhat unlikley the ISP blocking 8080/TCP nbnut not ie. 80/TCP, therfore: Can be also your router using 8080/TCP also for remote access / set-up. Disabling remote access toi the router might help. Yes, pretty silly a router does allow forwarding a port, while blocking it otherwise. Not uncommon. I would start with an eye here.
Changing to 1212/TCP
Router permitting, do a NAT/PAT trnaslating the port - source port 8080/TCP -> destination port 8080/TCP ... this would allow keeping the 8080 intrnalls. AFAIK myCloudnAS.com dodes not allow this, and needs a 1:1 port forwarding - using the port configured in the NAS General Setings.

Re: Mycloudnas Problem
Thanks schumaku, you were right, with your advice, i did a bit more digging and found an Service Control List where HTTP port 8080 was enabled for LAN but not for WAN. I enabled that and everything works well. Many thanks for your help!!!schumaku wrote:Somewhat unlikley the ISP blocking 8080/TCP nbnut not ie. 80/TCP, therfore: Can be also your router using 8080/TCP also for remote access / set-up.
