hi

Now I managed to Telnet and Twonky seems to work, But I still can´t play my files via my media player(Tangent Quattro) I can browse the folder in the Ts-101 but when I click Select the Buffer doesn´t start and a dump sound from the speaker is the only thing that I hear(only for a sec!)
I´ve check Firewall, Norton the Tangent Quattro support and now Twonky and they shuld be working fine
Is anyone able to help, I´ve not used my Qnap for 1 month now, and next week it will go to the dustbin

Well, you need to give more info, there are a lot of settings, so nobody can guess your setup.

Have you enabled twonky, have you configured twonky, have you checked your ip, netmask, default gateway, dns... ?
Best regards

Hi all,

I have recently purchased TS-119 with the very latest firmware (v3.0.0 Build 0428).

After initial setup I was able to start the Multimedia station as well as access UPnP config web page.
However when I have chaned the user-name and password in the UPnP config web (http://ip:9000) & restarted, I cannot access it anymore (getting Cannot find the page error from IE6). Have tried the setup suggested on this forum (deleting the twonky ini file) and no change = still cannt access it.

Currently the whole UPnP seems to be screwed as I cannt access it from any other UPnP-compatible device (other Windows client/PS3).

Would very much appreciate your help.

Thx,
Martin

All,

Thishas been solved thanks to the following procedure:

1. Please make sure you have enabled the Telnet or SSH on your NAS.
2. Use Putty to SSH to the NAS. (it is running at port 22); Or you can also Telnet to your NAS.
ex: type "cmd" in your start menu, type in "telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 13131"

3. Use administrator account to log in. (admin:admin as example)
4. type in the command: " cd /mnt/HDA_ROOT/twonkymedia " You will enter the path.
5. type in " ls " you should see the files in the folder. You should be able to find the file.
6. typr in " rm twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini.default ".
7. Restart the server. (Go to web admin page, go to Network Services> Multimedia Station, Distable the "Enable UPnP MediaServer" and then re-enable it.

! file is ending with .default

cheers

Hi,

I'm having the same problem using TS-219P. Deleting the ini.default file didn't help, I'm still getting page loading errors (I'm using Firefox 3.5, if it matters). Sometimes, it seemes like the page starts loading (I can see a sidebar on the left), but it still doesn't load. I also reinstalled the newest firmware without any success.

Any ideas ?

Hi,

I have the same problem: I cannot access the Twonky webpage. I've SSH-remove .ini.default, restarted the server (and Qnap) but it didn't work. I am still lock out from the Twonky web page.

My problem occoured when I hit the "Rebuild Database" button under the Twonky/Misc page. I don't have any access password for Twonky.

Anyone know how to resolve this access problem.

Solved:

See the anser on Twonky Media Server fix (after -1 rescan save)
I used WinSCP.

http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=177&t=17828&sid=827a9fbaec7c3528e4d3781db052d7bc&sid=d2e8ff7d8f763b941cad6ffb6f245517#p79624

I also removed twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini in /mnt/HDA_ROOT/.config , I guess that did the real trick.
