Hi Guys
I have 2 TS410 NAS units, one has been working fine for months so bought a second one this week,
currently has 3 tb Seagate drives in it, with a 4th to be added next week,
Problem is in the system logs I am getting the following error message every 30 seconds, constantly
2010-08-01 20:45:33 System 127.0.0.1 localhost Re-launch process [stunnel].
and repeated every 30 seconds whilever system is on,
Any ideas what this error is indicating and how I can resolve it?.
Cheers
HELP - Re-launch process [stunnel] warning every 30 secs?

try rebooting.
Use the forum search feature before posting.
Use RAID and external backups. RAID will protect you from disk failure, keep your system running, and data accessible while the disk is replaced, and the RAID rebuilt. Backups will allow you to recover data that is lost or corrupted, or from system failure. One does not replace the other.

Cheers
Tried that multiple times, still does it, strange as never had this problem on my other 410, only had it 4 days wondering if I should return it as faulty.

You could try to start it manually from the command line and maybe get a helpful error printout. Stop the current process with '/etc/init.d/stunnel.sh stop' and then start it with '/usr/sbin/stunnel /etc/stunnel/stunnel.conf'. Maybe the configuration file is corrupt.

I also got the same problem on NAS 459 Pro+ s/w revision 3.4.2 Build 0331T. I resolved it by disabling SSL logins.
Go to System Administration, General Settings, and UNcheck box "Enable Secure Connection (SSL)"

I hate to bump this, but if you're still wondering, I figured out what the problem is and have a solution: http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=73908

Not a solution - depreciated hack. No stunnel will work reliably on a messed-up config file. And no, I don't know how these files can get corrupt ....
