RAMDisk system failure on TS-932PX

Post by AndreasLi »

Hi,

I had several other NAS before but I'm new to QNAP.

When I log in through the web interface I get the error below served in a POP UP window:

A system failure occurred. The device has insufficient system storage.
Check the following settings: RAMDisk (/ or /tmp)

I googled the problem, but I can't find a solution.

Anyone that can help me?

The TS-932PX has
5x WD 8TB HDD in a RAID 6
2x Cruicial 1TB SSD in a RAID 1 as a cache for the RAID 6 array installed and I have only one GB ethernet connected.

I get the error only through the web interface. The APP on my iPhone doesn't show it at all.

It would be great if someone had a suggestion on how to fix this.

Did you try to reboot the NAS ?

The location will clear on reboot.

What programs were installed (some, if configured wrong, can fill junk into temp space)

reboot: off course. multiple times.

There are only six apps installed; it came like that.
1. HBS 3
2. Helpdesk 3.0.4
3. Malware remover
4. Multimedia Console
5. Notification Center
6. Osync Central

I have the same issue since several days.

"A system failure occurred. The device has insufficient system storage. Check the following settings. RAMDisk (/ for /tmp)".

Multimedia station is not working properly (shows no data). Notification Center is not starting (error) and when files are moved using the Qfile on the mobile, nothing happens.

Manager is showing the Temperature (CPU Failed, Disk 1 - not installed (then suddenly Disk 4 not installed). Also in processes some strange python... process is running.
Is it another malware?

When I reboot, everything seems to be normal again and CPU fans are showing again 1800 RPM speed (instead of 0).

opened a ticket in qnap with a lot of screenshots and description, no reply since several days. :-(

Not sure if malware or some process which fills some tmp folder.
QNAP, please help and look at my ticket.
