Hello All,
I just bought a TVS-H1688X and totally new to Qnap NAS, and would like to seek help for following matters:
1) I have plugged in a 16TB HDD that contains files, and the NAS doesn't allow me to read the files inside the drive.
2) The volume setting doesn't have any JBOD option and is it hidden?
3) Which type of RAID allows me to expand the capacity in the future without erasing the volume?
Will really appreciate if anyone can help me out on this.

Re: TVS-H1688X setup
just replied to the other thread
1) dont..it will delete your drive and data on it
2)you can go with single drives..just not with data intact
3) ZFS will not work for that .. so if you want to add disks later go with qts and regular mdraid

Appreciate for your reply.
It seems like there is no way to retain the data inside the drive at all or read the data inside the HDD thru the NAS, right?

I would never have spent $3100 for a technology product, and never watched a YouTube video about what I am buying. This is not an OWC drive dock.
