Good catch dolbyman, I'm going to look this over for a bit to hopefully identify this if it happens again. Do you think this is the best action by deleting the snapshot? Seems like I'd need to prevent this by changing some settings.

Didn't see a post on write lock

Unless you mean this post;

My volume status is "Read/Delete". What does this mean?

Sorry I can't find your post on how to get rid of write lock. I still don't have my shared drive back.

Oh, you just called it something else. You missed my question 2 post back. No problem I need to read more about this anyway.
I'm back up and running and continuing to transfer data. I also did insert my forth drive with no issues. I haven't allocated it yet. Not sure if I'll add it to the RAID or just keep it as extra. I've still got another 3 days of transfers ahead.
One question, would my system benefit from adding another cat5 between the NAS and router? Don't know if that would boost my throughput or not.

I really appreciate all the help you've provided me with.
Thanks, Clare

PS your handle sparks my past days, I used to have close to $30,000 in my home theatre and my old handle was dolbyman or something close to that. I no longer use my HT Screen and Proj.
All the Best to You!

just leave one cable connected ...port trunking or multipath smb are not needed here...

I have this nickname since the mid 90s....yes I am a home theater enthusiast but I need a couple of million bucks (2-3) to get the house for the cinema first (real estate is expensive here)

Hi dolbyman, I was getting this message previously and wondered if it was related to my problem. But now I don't think so. How should I address this question? I don't see how setting this up would help me or my PLEX Server.

SMTP server would be needed for notifications .. see if you set anything up for that (and remove notifications if not needed so the nagging will stop)

Did you remove snapshots or shrink the volume to have free pool space ? (regarding the read only volume)

Hi dolbyman things with my TS-653D are going fine thanks to you!
I'm experiencing difficulties and being uncertain of the scope of this forum I'm asking for direction where I can solve my dilemma.
I have a quite a few folders missing and I know for a fact that they are there. I'm learning that this could be from incorrect permissions.
Through properties it doesn't allow read and write changes to my permissions.
So I've learned about luisrmgr and have it open but I'm being cautious as what I can and should alter.
So if you could please point me in the correct direction to solve my problems I would greatly appreciate it.

On another topic I've also bought a UPS (Cyber Power 1500 VA 900 Watts 12 Outlets UPS)
I want to make sure on the proper shut down procedure for TS-653D to install the UPS. Also trying to prevent power kills or drops due to storms.
