Hello i have a question, i am new at QNAP nas devices and would like to setup my qnap like this...
I have a location of the QNAP nas behind FORTIGATE router in a datacenter. I work from home alot and from other countries as well, so the NAS will not be in the sam location as i. I would like to have a private cloud for the data 2 disks RED 6TB raid1 and 2 disks WD red 6TB for a backup for my 2-3 laptops, it is possible that i would share some files with my 2 coworkers that are working as well frome home and not from the nas location. First i though i would connect to VPN (forticlient) and then access NAS with certain app like owncloud or onedrive. I would like to have MFA for the data access. What do you recomend for data access will vpn slow down the access? What app and software should i use for private cloud (not myqnapcloud) and how could i setup a backup to remote NAS from my computers. Thanks for the answers.

vpn server on router or dedicated appliance (e.g. raspi)
there is no 2fa for file access ...vpn should be enough
