iMac doesn't recognise new TR-004

I am trying to connect a 4 bay TR-004 for direct access storage to my iMac. The USB light on the unit does not show and the QNAP software says there is no device connected to the Mac. I sent the unit back to Amazon and its replacement is exactly the same - not showing as connected by the Unit or recognised as being connected by the Mac?. - What am i missing please?

It does look scarily similar however its now 2 years on from these posts and i am on Monterey not Big Sur, has the problem of compatibility not been resolved then?

Hi there! I have the same problem. I'm using an iMAC (2019) with monterey and I can't seem to mount the disks with disk utility nor with third party softwares like tuxera or paragon.
I use this QNAP NAS at work using windows but last time that I used it at home with the iMAC it was functioning without any issues.

Can someone help with this? It's urgent!

You use a NAS or a DAS? The TR004 is a DAS

The screenshot shows the DAS is connected, but the disks are missing
