QNAP TS-453 mini - Not getting past POST - drives removed

Post by dudeonline »

Hi Folks,

I'm in the UK I'm trying to find out if there is anyone other than QNAP who can look at hardware issues with this NAS. QNAP apparently don't hold the parts any more for this NAS despite it only being about 4.5 years old. They have not looked at it as they already made it clear they don't hold parts but have stated that it sounds like a 'board' problem. Are there any companies that can have a look at this? (Please note I will not do things myself, I don't have the time or enthusiasm to do so). :)

Thank you,

Neville

Sounds like the Intel clock bug.
No idea, if a special QNAP repair service exists somewhere, neither in UK nor in rest of world.

Could be done with a few cent, but if you do not like to do it yourself you need to find someone who is skilled in electronics.

Thanks yes, I'm hoping to find someone.... I don't know if it has to be a qnap specialist, just someone or company specialising in electronic repair.
