Last I checked there wasn't a Qnap x64 version of DVR beta on Plex website. You have to extract the files from Ubuntu x64 version and copy into qpkg folder.

Re: Any documentation for QNAP Auto-transcode?
I ended up switching back to 4.2 because plex, jdownloader and codex pack didn't work.
So this weekend, back on 4.2, i tried the hdhomerun's latest beta firmware with plex's die hard beta and it still won't remux or transcode. The output is garbled or completely correct, with incorrect files sizes. The raw recording works fine, but the file sizes are huge.
Any way to have qnap hardware transcode the *.ts recordings?

Just for those interested, I was able to get Plex DVR w/Post Processing to work.

You mean, record with on the fly transcoding to mp4?

Record with transcoding to MKV (via PlexDVR), and then post process stripping of commercials.

I would love to see your notes in a how-to format!Trexx wrote:Record with transcoding to MKV (via PlexDVR), and then post process stripping of commercials.
I have a Ts-251 and an HDRHR3. The shows have trouble more often than not, so I think I need some post-processing help to re-encode and if I can remove the commercials that would be awesome.

Any chance you could share how you pulled this off please? I would be most appreciative. Thanks!Trexx wrote:Just for those interested, I was able to get Plex DVR w/Post Processing to work.

I also am curious how you were able to get Plex DVR w/post processing to work on QNAP. Can you provide details?hoosrdady wrote:Any chance you could share how you pulled this off please?
