Setting up a QNAP NAS for Myqnapcloud sharing if you have a webserver on same IP address

Post by Wheeljack77 » Sat May 26, 2018 8:43 am

Just thought to post this for anyone who has trouble wanting to access a QNAP NAS via Myqnapcloud on an IP address which already has a webserver attached.

What you need to do is:

1) Set your QNAP NAS IP as a static IP ie. 192.168.1.250. On your main router, port forward to *:80 TCP&UDP for your main webserver, and place your QNAP NAS IP as DHCP reserved. If Port Triggering is available, add ports 443 and 8080-8081 on the router using TCP.

2) On Cloudlink app on the QNAP, disable usage of port 80, but leave the rest checked.

After you have made these settings, you should be able to access your webserver sites under port 80, but when you run Myqnapcloud, it will connect directly to your NAS.
