No room for QM2-4 card in Slot 1 on TS-1685

Post by rytter »

HI,

I just purcahsed a TS-1685, and a QM2-4P-384 card.

According to the installation instructions it must be installed in PCIe slot 1. but there is not enough space to install it there - it's to long and will hit the fans.

Can I install the card in slot 3 instead? I have no need for a GPU there.

Best regards
Kenneth

The instructions that say this must be installed in slot 1 are meant to say that it needs to be in the slot with more space for a longer card. So the larger slot with more space is what we meant to refer to when we said the QM2-4P needs to be installed in slot 1.
