TS251+ Nothing post login

Post by hobbs » Tue Sep 10, 2019 2:25 am

All I see is a wallpaper..

Login page looks normal, login in using admin/admin.
Then just a wallpaper..

Nas top light is red.. unsure why..
Was fine, went red, cant do anything..

Two 8 TB HD in there, both work fine.
8GB ram in, worked fine on past set up.

Nas was factory reset, and then shut down.
I removed the system drive and placed a new 8tb hd in there.
I then powered on with 10 second reset button for new drive.

It took forever to boot up. Like insane amounts of time.

Now I am stuck here..
Am I being impatient?

I have to say, generally resetting the nas, the guides. Insanely vague.
Replacing a system drive, or just replacing any drives that are just being used for data. No raid etc. Just static drives.
There is nothing guide wise. Qnap support took too long to respond..

Hopefully I have not broken it.

The drives are fine to be formatted. just been a few hours and getting nowhere but seeing flashing lights and hearing beeps.. all which sound and look the usual way.

Fixed it. Just removed the drives, rebooted. Now format and reset up.

Qnap please make better guides.
