ts-253b - latest firmware 4.4.1.1146 - 2 x 14 wd red (raid 1) . - ISSUE of noise?

upgraded from a ts-253a which i now regret.

this device is so loud, any way of reducing the amout of noise this device makes

in the ts-253a it was quieter.

put it on a foam mat or into a cabinet

or just another room where it wont bother you

You should have upgraded to a 4 bay unit which has a larger 120mm fan and doesn't have to spin as fast.
