USB Wi-Fi as the only network adapter?

Hi,
I am trying to reconfigure my TS-253 Pro so that it connects to the network exclusively using the USB dongle (D-Link DWA-182).
The physical ethernet ports are disconnected and the Wi-Fi adapter does connect to the network, and in fact I can reliably use it to log into the server.

I am facing a few issues, though:

- The DNS resolution is unreliable. Irrespective of which DNS servers I configure (Google's, my broadband provider's), when the Wi-Fi adapter is set as the default gateway, the system will almost always fail to resolve hostnames. Every now and again, though, it does work, which is quite puzzling.

- The Wi-Fi adapter is not listed as a physical adapter in some contexts, e.g. Container Station.

Is it actually possible to use the USB Wi-Fi as the only network adapter?

Thanks

If you HAVE to use WFi use a WiFi bridge connected to one of the LAN ports.. that works fine .. (albeit slow due to wifi)

Forget the USB sticks
