Adding a new HDD to an existing RAID5 configuration

Post by NASlover64 »

Greetings.
I read the QNAP guide (https://docs.qnap.com/nas-outdated/QTS4 ... 6B024.html) regarding this topic, however, I do not understand what is meant by
12. Click Expand.
A confirmation message appears.

Warning:
Clicking OK deletes all data on the selected disks.
Does that mean that ALL the disks inside the NAS will be deleted or that ONLY the newly added drives will be formatted?
This NAS has files that are critical and I cannot allow any interruption. By following this procedure, will I expect some downtimes?

Thanking you in advance, I wish you a pleasant evening.

Kind regards.
