TS431-U no webpage ?

Post by Noppesnada »

Picked up a used TS431-U from work which has been working fine for years.

For some reason i cannot enter the webpage of the nas through my pc. I get a time out error.

I can enter the webpage through my ipad though.

Been fiddling with it for 2 weeks but cannot find a solution.

Nas gets an IP adress on my network, so that should not be the issue. Tried Chrome, Edge and Firefox as well, bot no luck.

Anyone ?

You mean web gui does not load?

And by access from IPAD you mean via browser or app(qmanager)?

Correct, webgui does not load, tried 2 different computers on the same network.

Ipad on the same network and chrome browser has no problems at all loading the webgui.

Qfinder pro on computers see the nas, but i can not open the webgui.

Completely cleared, drives removed, wiped with killdisk, formatted, checked and installed again.

Nas reset by pinhole on te back, 10 seconds, 2 beeps (multiple times)

I have 2 of the nas models (identical) and they BOTH display the same problem.

Apologies for the late reply.

Now my nas cannot be seen on my network, qfinder cannot see it, and it does not seem to get an ip adress ?

Reset is mulitple times (3 and 10 second method), but no result.

The UTP cable is okay as other devices work great. Even tried another location in my house, same problem.

I have 2 identical TS-431U nas which both have the same problems.

Any other suggestions to fix this ?

Is that possible as these are used ones without any warranty ?

QNAP support even helps people with 12 year old CAT1 units..those are many years out of warranty

One possibility could be somehow "Network access Protection" blocked the IP of your PC but did not block the IP of your iPad.
You can look at your blocked IP list and see if the IP of the PC is there.

You mean on the nas ?

I cannot check that as the nas cannot be accessed and is working headless (without screen/kb/mouse).

Furthermore, i use Fing and can see all devices on my network. the nas is not there.

Thank you for your comment though.
