You have a 14 years old NAS.
It can have problems.

If you learn one thing from this..it would be to backup your data asap or your "Lehrgeld" will be dataloss or expensive professional data recovery

At my 10+ years old NAS with QTS v4.2.6.xxxx time can be set manually:

Rather sure, that your NAS can do that also. If not, your firmware is most likely damaged in some way.

Hello,
i have installed a TS-433 and there will be no change to timeset, no ptbtime1.ptb.de oder others like the preinstalled pool...
The thing is, the NAS is abaout 46 days old and if no timeserver will be set, there is still a difference in time about more than 5minutes :-(
Is there to be anything special to be installed for correct working ?
The server and all other macs are working with firewall and router and correct timeset ...!
Please tell me, where i might be wrong or not...

Hey ... now on Update to 5.1.4.296 time is working fine ;-)
But,
now i am angry about PCLOUD.
In an enviroment where every cloud is not good - and not wanted, it is a big securityhole !!!
So given one point plus to qnap for time synchronisation and minus 2 points for unwanted cloud-service :-(

Only unwanted cloud app I know from QNAP is MyQnapCloud that is now default installed and can neither be removed nor disabled
