TS233 vs TS-231P2-4G

Post by Piroclastico »

I would like to replace my old TS-212 with a newer model; what do you recommend between the TS-233 and the TS-231P2-4G?
Currently it is mainly used for photo, video and document backups; one day I might decide to also connect a couple of surveillance cameras.
Can the TS-231's extra 2GB of memory be useful for these uses?
Thanks in advance

They are both pretty low end, no idea how they would far with QVR later on.. but make sure you do NOT migrate your old disks to the new NAS (it would result in a crippled legacy volume)

Just set it up with new disks and keep the 212 as a data backup
