TS-853B coming?

Post by CalgaryTech »

Hi, I really like the TS-653B specs but I want one with 8 bays. Can anyone advise if QNAP is planning on releasing a TS-853B soon? I prefer over the RS-853A due to the new processor and PCI expansion card. It seems like the TS-653B was a bit of a stealth launch.

https://www.qnap.com/en/product/model.php?II=271

Thanks!

What the *beep* :)

Have been waiting "forever" for the successor to the 853A, due to the lack of expansion port.

Have been checking

https://www.qnap.com/en/news/2017

With ever growing anticipation, waiting for the news that the 853A got a successor, but nothing has been written there.

I can only second the OP's request for this to come in an 8 bay variant and i will probably at buy a new nas to succeed the TS-420 i have right now.

So QNAP....Get your finger our and get a stretched, 8 bay version released asap :)

As far as I know, Qnap is not planning on releasing an 8 bay version of the TS-x53B.

Based on the TS-x53B Mini user guide, 2/4/6 bay models are it.

Hi,
For 8-bay x86 NAS please consider TS-853A or TVS-871, TVS-873.
