It does work, however it's not available direct form QNAP.

Yes been running father_mandes version of Kodi on my TS-453B for months now.
Model: TS-453D 8GB
Disks: 3 x 4TB Western Digital WD40EFRX - RAID 5
Total Storage: 7.2TB
Applications: Plex | Sonarr | QSabnzbd+ | Radarr | Home Assistant | MQTT/Z2M
Other Devices: Netgear D7000 AC1900 VDSL Router | FTTP - 1014/104 | Netgear GS108 Gigabit Switch

you know netflix? the interface kinda looks like that. Kodi UI is also often compared to Plex as well.

Kodi can play your digital media by accessing your NAS on the local network and directplay.

But Kodi is most especially popular due to it's free streaming similar to netflix due to certain naughty addons which currently are being cracked down hard on.

Kodi itself however is innocent. It's just specific addons able to do questionable things that at the heart of the heat kodi is getting.

I set up linux station and noticed kodi preinstalled on that. How to I have the NAS do the transcoding and not the computer that i am watching it on over wifi?
