Google is your friend...
https://www.qnap.com/en/product/eol.php
I think the x59 firmware support will be pulled around October this year...

Hello,
I can't find my TS-439 (not Pro or other adornements) in the list. Killed even in the Qnap memory?

was there ever a x39 non Pro ?
in any case the Pro would be a newer model, so the non Pro would be EOL for sure

Re: Help for replacement of old QNAP models approaching End of life
There are no specific replacement models for your old models. All of the current Qnap models have much more features and almost all of them are more powerful.husain777 wrote:...what would be the replacement model for each listed below...
It's better that you think about what you want out of your NASes, today and in the future and choose models based on that.
Some things to consider:
- All of your NASes are Intel-based. Is that a requirement or is ARM or AMD possible as well?
- All your NASes are desktop type. Are rack mounted models possible or maybe even preferred?
- Would it be an advantage for you to standardize on a single model line or will they used in very different applications and situations where it would be preferrable to pick the right tool for each situation?
- Today NASes have many more possibilities and features than just straight file sharing. Would any of that be interesting for you, now or in future?
RAID have never ever been a replacement for backups. Without backups on a different system (preferably placed at another site), you will eventually lose data!
A non-RAID configuration (including RAID 0, which isn't really RAID) with a backup on a separate media protects your data far better than any RAID-volume without backup.
All data storage consists of both the primary storage and the backups. It's your money and your data, spend the storage budget wisely or pay with your data!
