nvme optimized with hero?

Post by allenthenap »

I'm looking for a mid range qnap that has nvme as the base for everything. Would like to run nvme-of with virtualization station if possible. There are so many various qnaps that I can't seem to find exactly what I am looking for. would appreciate suggestions / pointers to what we should get.

In the mid-range, TS-h973AX-32G has enough RAM and CPU power to run a couple of VMs. If you want more resource-intensive VMs than that, you might be better off with something High end.

But TS-h973AX can hold to U.2 NVMe drives which can hold your VM images and the system pool.

For higher-end, TVS-h1288X has 2 X M.2 NVMe slots and can take more NVMe in the PCIe slot using a QM2-4P-384.

thanks Daniel, I think I didn't say my question very well. I'm actually running the vms on vm servers but they will use 40g networking back into the qnap with the nvme. So I'm looking for a qnap server that has hyperv support and is all nvme. Still looking for the right qnap machine for this.

I don't think there is a a mid range all NVME storage system with support/power for 40GbE

you are probably looking at only those for now:
