Isn’t July the first month of the 3rd quarter? ;)

And remember this is a USER forum...we have no idea about QNAPs mysterious ways...you would need to ask them via ticket

Took your advice & raised a ticket. A new TR-108CT 8 bay thunderbolt NAS is scheduled to be released next month in August. Judging by the 'CT' in the name, looks like it's gonna have both USB & Thunderbolt connectivity :DD

Just FYI. It now appears along with the 104 and 106 on the expansion list for my TVS-672XT. When you click that link though nothing shows on the enclosure page.

Thunderbolt 3 is fully USB-C compatible and uses USB-C connectors so it should work with either though Thunderbolt 3 is twice as fast as USB-C gen 3.2

The release date for the new Thunderbolt Expansion units has been pushed back and at this time I don't have an ETA. It might not be worth waiting for this expansion unit.

So Manualzz has a manual for all 3 new Thunderbolt expansion enclosures though none are yet available for sale.

Interesting info. Compatible with Thunderbolt 4 so I’m assuming backward compatible.

TBH I'm getting sick of all the delays for this release & am now considering buying the QNAP TL-D800C 8 Bay expasion unit. My Qnap TVS-872XT has a 6 core i5 cpu so should be able to cope with running this JBOD expansion unit via USB 3.2 connection.
